Devils Tower is a striking oddity rising from the plains of northeastern Wyoming. The perimeter of this igneous intrusion contains hundreds of vertical cracks, many of which climbers travel long distances to play on. Durrance, originally rated 5.6 and since upgraded to 5.7/5.8, is by far the most popular route on the tower. Six pitches, most of them relatively short, contain a variety of very fun crack climbing. I loved this climb!
