What do you do when you go to Sedona to climb and a pouring rain has saturated everything for a couple of days? These two peaks both have popular tourist trails that'll get you close to the top while offering some nice views. But be forewarned, even though the official south summit of Bear Mountain is only 1/3 of a mile from the end of the Bear Mountain Trail, its a ROUGH 1/3 of a mile. Expect particularly nasty and slow bushwhacking and don't wear nice clothes. If you're not a peakbagger count yourself lucky and save yourself the pointless misery by turning around at the end of the trail.
