This easy loop over a trio of Colorado's high peaks is often a safe and reasonable outing in winter, though there are a few areas of concern that could cause problems in bad snow conditions. The 3 mile approach up the snow covered Iowa Gulch road is usually easy going and tracked by snowmobiles. Beyond that the slopes are gentle. Expect it to be windy on Mount Sherman.
