Elkhorn Peaks

Zion National Park, Utah
November 23, 2012

These two peaks reside deep inside Zion's backcountry and require a very long and rugged approach. Our chosen loop was just shy of 19 miles round trip. Along the way we found an incredible elk horn and the boys took turns toting it the several remaining miles to the top of the first summit. We know of no other previous ascents of either peak. Another mind blowing day in Zion!
