I took advantage of exceptional conditions to collect winter ascents of this trio of Peaks, making a solo, last minute, hurried weekend trip to the San Juans. Ken Nolan had climbed Jones a few days earlier so I was confident there was a safe route up at least one of the three.

What started out as a cold, windy day with no views turned into a spectacular bluebird afternoon. The clouds lifted in a really sudden and rapid manner which made for some spectacular scenery.
