After waking up to really iffy looking weather and a terrible forecast, sticking close to my camp at Pyramid Lake seemed like a wise idea. So I climbed the two nearest, easiest things I could.

Midsummer Dome is the lowest peak for miles but has some character despite it's lowly stature. Poking up into the East Fork, it's especially robust stone stood it's ground against the glacier that carved this valley. The south face has some nice technical climbing. Kelsey advertises the lower-angled north face as 3rd class, but the scramble wasn't as easy as I expected and I pulled a couple of low 5th class moves. Perhaps I didn't find the easiest path.

Pyramid Peak is an aptly named summit directly above Pyramid Lake. Kelsey says that it's only fault is having nothing to challenge a rock climber. It was one of the easiest summits of my trip and offered a great view of Dike Mountain and it's namesake dike.
