Kurt, Kevin, Dwight & Andy scramble down under the bridge on the east end of the Zion - Mt. Carmel tunnel. The approach to Pine Creek is almost non-existent. We're already suited up because we just finished Keyhole Canyon a few miles up the road.

Happy Andy and Happy Kevin awaiting our turn at the first rappel in Pine Creek. The canyon is quite crowded and there are some slow noobs in front of us.

The group of three ahead of us is painfully slow and after waiting patiently for quite some time for our turn at the rappel station we can't take it anymore. Another party is already lined up behind us. Kurt decides to serve as a meat anchor for the rest of us in hopes of passing the slow group.

Dwight on the first rappel. The water depth here is over our heads. Gotta be careful not to get tangled up in the other party's rope. This is a situation where a biner block/rope length adjustment is wise.

Just for kicks Andy and Kurt demonstrate the Fiddlestick for us on the second to last rappel. This is a retrievable anchor tool. The pink line is attached to a pull cord. The fiddlestick is tied in such that the rope will be freed when the stick is pulled out.
