Tomsich Butte San Rafael Swell, Utah October 13, 2011
Tomsich Butte is a cool desert summit located deep within the San Rafael Swell. Nearly 30 miles of slow dirt road separate it from Interstate 70. Despite this being an enjoyable little scramble it is very short and therefore best when combined with other adventures in the area (especially given the time and gas it takes to get here!).

The crux crack feels borderline without a rope so Dominic pops in a cam before making a couple of easy 5th class moves. Rock shoes would be overkill here.
