A short, uninteresting hike to a summit with disappointing views

Fall colors

CP & DB hike through some scenic fall foliage en route to Checkerboard Mesa.

Tree root climbing

DB and Kevin climb up steep dirt with the aid of tree roots. There was a rough use trail going most of the way to the summit.

Disappointing view from the summit of Checkerboard Mesa. For some reason I imagined it would be much better than this. Other Zion summits have spolied me.
