Two short, easy climbs in the San Rafael Swell
The Wickiup is a strange looking peak just north I-70. It's slopes are made of steep, loose dirt and rock that crumbles to dirt upon agitation. Chunks of gypsum can be found on its east ridge. It makes for a short but interesting climb.
Indian Benchmark is a huge plateau located very close to the Wickiup. We had no beta on it, but found our way to the top quite easily. The highpoint is on the left.
Here's another view of The Wickiup from a greater distance. I read somewhere that it is sometimes also referred to as "Mary's Nipple".
